HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE

The prime aim of
“Thirumurugan Educational and charitable Trust” is to promote higher
education to economically weaker section of the students, both boys
and girls, in Thiruvallur town and nearby villages of Thiruvallur
district.
Accordingly, Thirumurugan Educational charitable Trust had started a
self financing arts and science college by name and style
“THIRUMURUGAN ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE”, during the year
2000-2001.The college is functioning in its permanent buildings at
Kosavanpalayam village, Thiruppasur panchayat, Thiruvallur taluk…..

For a welfare society, Knowledge for everyone is an essential thing.
Knowledge is wealth, knowledge is power. Hence our motto “LET US
SPREAD KNOWLEDGE". The college strives for knowledge in Arts,
Science and other avenues of education. With the grace of lord
Thirumurugan, our college will spread knowledge in its full glory
and to achieve this both the trust and college will strive
earnestly. The Light of education, which the college will throw on,
all directions, to the poor and needy students-boys and girls-is
destined to shape the future of the country. |
